Driven by a commitment to holistic well-being and community welfare, Jagadguru Kripalu Yog Trust (JKYT), through its healthcare initiatives Jagadguru Kripalu Chikitsalaya (JKC) and Jagadguru Kripalu Yog Naturopathy Hospital & Research Centre (JKYNHRC), organised free medical screening camps for school students in rural Odisha during December 2025.
These initiatives focused on preventive healthcare and early medical awareness among students, particularly in rural regions where regular access to healthcare services often remains limited. By bringing medical care directly into schools, the programmes aimed to support healthier learning environments and strengthen the physical well-being of young students.
Free Medical Screening Camp at Subudheswar Milita Bidyapitha, Banara
On 3rd December 2025, JKYT organised a Free Medical Screening Camp for students of Subudheswar Milita Bidyapithain Banara, Cuttack.
The initiative focused on identifying early signs of common health concerns affecting school-going children, helping students receive timely medical attention and guidance before minor issues developed into larger health problems.
The camp was conducted under the guidance of Dr Ramesh Chandra Patnaik, Director of Health at Jagadguru Kripalu University, along with a dedicated medical team that ensured careful, respectful, and age-appropriate consultations for all students.
The medical professionals created a supportive and reassuring atmosphere, helping students feel comfortable while undergoing examinations and consultations.
The camp included a wide range of essential health assessments, including:
- Blood pressure, pulse, and oxygen saturation monitoring
- Height, weight, and BMI evaluation
- Doctor consultation
- Dental health examination
- Eye check-up
These screenings helped identify concerns related to eyesight, dental health, nutrition, and general well-being that could otherwise affect students’ studies, concentration, and daily activities.
Students expressed heartfelt gratitude for the initiative, sharing how the camp helped them better understand their health conditions and receive proper medical guidance. Many students felt reassured after receiving consultations, medicines, and support from the healthcare team.
Several students and school members also expressed hope that such healthcare initiatives would continue regularly for future student batches, recognising the importance of preventive healthcare within educational institutions.
The initiative reflected JKYog’s broader vision of integrating education, health awareness, and community care to empower rural youth to build healthier, more confident futures.

The camp aimed to promote health awareness among students and address commonly overlooked medical concerns affecting children in rural communities.
The screenings were once again conducted under the guidance of Dr Ramesh Chandra Patnaik, with support from an experienced healthcare team that ensured systematic, student-friendly medical consultations.
The team focused not only on identifying health concerns but also on creating awareness among students regarding the importance of regular health monitoring and preventive care.
The camp included:
- Blood pressure, pulse, and oxygen saturation checks
- Height, weight, and BMI assessment
- Doctor consultation
- Dental examination
- Eye screening
These assessments helped students receive early intervention and guidance related to their health, supporting their physical well-being and academic growth.
Through initiatives such as these, JKYog continues working towards bridging healthcare gaps within rural education systems by integrating preventive care, awareness, and timely medical support.
These programmes reflect the understanding that student wellbeing forms the foundation of confident learning and healthy development. By bringing compassionate healthcare services directly into rural schools, JKYog is helping create stronger, healthier, and more empowered communities for the future.
