As part of Swami Mukundananda’s India tour, spiritually enriching Life Transformation Programs were conducted in Kolkata from 16th to 18th January 2026 and in Guwahati from 19th to 20th January 2026. Centred around the themes “Life Lessons from the Bhagavad Gita” and “Narad Bhakti Darshan,” these programs brought together seekers from different walks of life for days filled with wisdom, devotion, reflection, and personal connection.

A Grand Welcome Marks the Beginning of the Kolkata Program

The Kolkata program marked the second leg of Swamiji’s India tour and began with a heartfelt traditional welcome. Devotees received Swamiji with flower offerings, shankh naad, devotional bhajans, and aarti, creating a spiritually vibrant atmosphere from the very beginning. Swamiji’s affectionate gesture of distributing chocolates among devotees added warmth and simplicity to the occasion, bringing smiles to people of all ages.

The opening day reflected the eagerness and devotion of the Kolkata devotees, many of whom carried cherished memories from previous programs and looked forward to receiving new spiritual insights during this year’s event.

Kolkata LTP Day 1: Ishavasya Upanishad and Spiritual Wisdom

The first day of the Kolkata Life Transformation Program unfolded beautifully through a blend of learning, devotion, and heartfelt interaction. The day began with a warm meet-and-greet session where participants had the opportunity to personally connect with Swamiji and receive His blessings.

A major highlight of the day was the unveiling of the spiritual book Ishavasya Upanishad, followed by Swamiji’s insightful discourse on its teachings. Presenting profound philosophical concepts in a relatable and practical manner, Swamiji explained how the wisdom of the Upanishads remains deeply relevant in modern life.

The lecture became especially engaging through inspiring stories from the life of Ramakrishna Paramahamsa, which added depth, emotion, and relatability to the teachings. The session concluded with soulful kirtans, aarti, and a video presentation, leaving participants immersed in God-centred thoughts and spiritual reflection.

Morning Walk and Satsang at Victoria Memorial

The second morning of the Kolkata program began with a refreshing walk at Victoria Memorial, where devotees had the rare opportunity to walk alongside Swamiji while participating in an open Q&A session.

Questions arose from seekers of different age groups and life situations. Topics ranged from guiding teenagers towards bhakti, overcoming attachment, understanding suffering, navigating relationships and marriage, to learning how to depend on God’s grace during challenging phases of life. Swamiji answered each question with clarity, compassion, and practical insight.

Later, devotees gathered at the JKYog Kolkata Satsang Centre for satsang and naam sankirtan. The chanting of “Man bhul mat jaiyo Radherani ke charan” created a deeply devotional atmosphere that touched everyone present. The morning concluded with breakfast prasad and informal interactions, strengthening the sense of spiritual community among the devotees.

Kolkata LTP Day 2: Living the Bhagavad Gita in Daily Life

The second day’s main session focused on applying the timeless wisdom of the Bhagavad Gita to everyday challenges. The day began with another meet-and-greet and the unveiling of the book Bhagavad Gita for Everyday Living.

Swamiji explained Arjun’s inner conflict and how Bhagwan Krishna guided him through the path of Karma Yog, teaching action rooted in purpose rather than anxiety. Through relatable modern examples, Swamiji connected ancient wisdom with contemporary struggles.

One particularly memorable story involved Sundar Pichai and the “cockroach incident,” illustrating how external situations disturb people far less than their reactions to them. The story helped participants reflect on how stress often arises not from circumstances themselves, but from uncontrolled responses and mental agitation.

Swamiji also explained the deeper meaning of the famous Gita verse “Sarva dharmān parityajya,” clarifying that Bhagwan Krishna’s message was not merely for recitation, but for practical living through surrender, right understanding, and purposeful action.

The evening concluded with aarti, leaving devotees with practical takeaways on integrating spiritual wisdom into daily life.

Kolkata LTP Day 3: Bhakti Explained Through Experience and Simplicity

The third morning began with kirtan glorifying Shree Radharani, followed by a guided meditation that helped devotees visualise a personal meeting with Shree Krishna in Vrindavan. Swamiji also spoke briefly on mind management, explaining how controlling the mind forms the foundation for sustained bhakti.

The morning became even more special as devotees shared breakfast with Swamiji and received opportunities for personal interaction and guidance.

Later in the day, the final lecture of the Kolkata LTP centred around the Narad Bhakti Sutras. The unveiling of the book Narad Bhakti Sutras marked the beginning of a deeply engaging discourse on the nature of devotion.

Using relatable stories, humour, and real-life examples, Swamiji explained concepts such as ananya bhakti, nishkaam bhakti, and nirantar bhakti. He gently cautioned against reducing devotion to mere external ritualism or transactional worship motivated only by worldly desires.

Through simple illustrations and practical wisdom, Swamiji explained that true bhakti is continuous, selfless, and centred solely on love for God.

The final evening concluded with kirtan, aarti, and dinner with the JKYog Kolkata volunteers, whose warmth and dedication added a unique charm to the entire program.

Guwahati Prepares for Its First-Ever Life Transformation Program

Following Kolkata, the India tour moved to Guwahati, where volunteers enthusiastically prepared for the city’s first-ever Life Transformation Program. Across the streets of the city, volunteers worked tirelessly with banners, outreach efforts, and event preparations to spread the message of transformation and bhakti.

The excitement surrounding the program reflected the growing spiritual enthusiasm within the Northeast region.

Guwahati LTP Day 1: A Historic Beginning in the Northeast

The Guwahati Life Transformation Program marked a memorable milestone as the first-ever LTP organised in the Northeast. Swamiji was warmly welcomed at the airport with the traditional Assamese gamcha and flower offerings, reflecting the region’s rich cultural heritage and heartfelt devotion.

Devotees travelled from across the Northeast, including Shillong, Agartala, and even Bangladesh, to participate in the event and receive Swamiji’s blessings. The atmosphere during the meet-and-greet was filled with warmth, book signings, personal interactions, and joyful moments with devotees.

Held in the sacred land of Maa Kamakhya, the program witnessed an overflowing audience. Swamiji delivered enlightening lectures on the Ishavasya Upanishad and practical life lessons from the Bhagavad Gita.

He explained how most people approach God only for material fulfilment, while the real source of suffering lies in attachment, resentment, and uncontrolled desires. Through the lens of Karma Yog, Swamiji guided participants towards a life of balance, selflessness, and inner peace.

Several misconceptions related to bhakti and spiritual practice were also thoughtfully addressed, helping participants distinguish between genuine spirituality and mechanical ritualism.

The unveiling of Ishavasya Upanishad and Bhagavad Gita for Everyday Living, along with soulful kirtans and aarti, made Day 1 a deeply impactful beginning for the spiritual journey in the Northeast.

Guwahati LTP Day 2: Bhakti, Reflection, and the Wisdom of the Brahmaputra

The second morning of the Guwahati program unfolded along the serene banks of the mighty Brahmaputra River. Surrounded by greenery, distant hills, flowing boats, ropeways, and cool morning breezes, devotees joined Swamiji for a peaceful morning walk and satsang.

The natural beauty of the Northeast created a calm backdrop for spiritual reflection and meaningful conversations. During the Q&A session, Swamiji answered questions across various topics with remarkable clarity, simplifying deep spiritual philosophy into practical guidance relevant to daily life.

After the satsang, devotees enjoyed Assamese tea, samosas, and warm interactions together, creating moments of simplicity and connection.

Later in the day, the final lecture focused on the Narad Bhakti Sutras. Swamiji explained the three essential principles of devotion: Nishkaamta (selfless devotion), Nirantarta (continuous remembrance), and Ananyata (exclusive devotion to God).

Using practical examples, He showed how these principles can gradually transform one’s life and deepen one’s relationship with God. The session concluded with kirtan and aarti, bringing the first-ever Guwahati Life Transformation Program to a spiritually fulfilling close.

A Journey of Wisdom, Bhakti, and Transformation

The Kolkata and Guwahati Life Transformation Programs became powerful spiritual experiences for seekers across Eastern and Northeastern India. Through lectures rooted in the Bhagavad Gita, Upanishads, and Narad Bhakti Sutras, Swamiji presented timeless spiritual truths in a deeply relatable and practical way.

From devotional mornings and guided meditations to satsangs, kirtans, personal interactions, and meaningful discussions, the programs offered participants not just knowledge, but a living experience of bhakti, clarity, and inner transformation.
