As part of its continued commitment to preventive healthcare and student wellbeing in rural communities, Jagadguru Kripalu Yog Trust (JKYT), through Jagadguru Kripalu Chikitsalaya (JKC), in collaboration with Rotary eClub of Silicon Valley, organised multiple spectacle distribution programmes for students identified with vision-related concerns during earlier medical screening camps.
These initiatives aimed to ensure that correctable vision problems do not impede education, classroom participation, reading ability, or academic confidence among rural students.

The programme took place in the presence of Dr Ramesh Chandra Patnaik, Director of Health at Jagadguru Kripalu University, along with Guest of Honour Mr Ayush Tyagi, the staff of JKC, and volunteers associated with the initiative.

Free Spectacle Distribution at Mundali Nodal High School | 10 January 2026
Continuing its rural healthcare outreach, JKYT and JKC organised another Free Spectacle Distribution Program on 10th January 2026 for students of Mundali Nodal High School, Cuttack.
The programme supported students who had earlier been diagnosed with vision-related concerns during school medical screening camps. With examinations approaching, the timely distribution of spectacles became especially meaningful for students who relied on improved eyesight for reading and classroom learning.
The atmosphere during the programme was lively, cheerful, and filled with excitement. Students enthusiastically tried on their new spectacles, asking friends whether they looked “cool” and playfully referring to themselves as “bookworms in the making.”
Fresh smiles, laughter, and shy confidence gradually filled the school campus as students interacted warmly with the guests and healthcare team. The event beautifully reflected how small healthcare interventions can bring not only practical support, but also happiness, encouragement, and self-confidence to children.
The programme was conducted in the presence of Dr Patnaik, along with the Guest of Honour Ms Sukti Adhikari, the staff of JKC, and volunteers associated with the initiative.
The school Principal expressed heartfelt gratitude for the collaborative effort dedicated to student well-being and educational support.
Through such partnerships, JKYog continues to strengthen the connection between healthcare and education, ensuring that preventable vision challenges never limit a child’s future opportunities.
Free Spectacle Distribution at Mundali Nodal High School | 17 April 2026
As part of its ongoing commitment to preventive healthcare in rural schools, another spectacle distribution programme was organised at Mundali Nodal High School on 17th April 2026.
The initiative once again focused on supporting students identified with eyesight-related concerns during earlier medical screening camps, helping ensure that poor vision does not interfere with their education or daily learning experience.
The programme was conducted in the presence of Dr Patnaik, the Guest of Honour, Ms Subhalaxmi Mahapatra, the staff of JKC, and JKYT volunteers.
By consistently providing these healthcare interventions, JKYT is helping students receive timely vision support during crucial years of education and development.
The initiative reflected a simple yet meaningful vision: when children can see clearly, they are better equipped to learn confidently, participate actively, and pursue brighter futures.
Through preventive medical screening camps and follow-up healthcare support, such as spectacle distribution, Jagadguru Kripalu Yog Trust continues working towards holistic rural development that integrates healthcare, education, and community welfare.
These initiatives demonstrate how compassionate healthcare can directly impact educational growth, confidence, and quality of life for students in underserved communities.
By identifying and addressing health concerns early, JKYog continues to help young students move towards healthier, clearer, and more hopeful futures.
