Jagadguruttam Diwas 2026 was observed with profound devotion and reverence at JKYog Bhakti Ashram, Banara, as devotees gathered to honour the Guru's divine position in spiritual life. The celebration became a heartfelt reminder of Guru Kripa's indispensable role on the path of bhakti and spiritual progress.
The entire atmosphere of the Ashram was filled with devotion, gratitude, and remembrance of Jagadguruttam Shree Kripalu Ji Maharaj, whose teachings and grace continue to guide countless seekers on the path of God-realisation.
The Day Begins with Prem Tattva and Guru Bhakti
The observance began with Shree Maharaj Ji’s Vachanmrit on prem tattva, setting a deeply devotional and introspective tone for the day. Devotees listened attentively as the teachings directed their minds towards the essence of divine love and surrender.
This was followed by Swami Mukundananda’s soulful rendition of the kirtan “Anath Dinanatham,” which immersed everyone in feelings of surrender and dependence upon the shelter of the Guru. The kirtan naturally drew devotees' hearts towards deeper Guru bhakti and gratitude.
Swamiji then addressed the gathering, speaking on the spiritual significance of Jagadguruttam Diwas and explaining why this occasion holds such an important place within the bhakti tradition. Through His words, devotees were reminded that the Guru serves as the guiding light, dispelling ignorance and leading the soul towards God.
“Jai Sadguru Maharaj” Deepens the Devotional Mood
Following the lecture, Swamiji sang the deeply moving kirtan “Jai Sadguru Maharaj,” which further elevated the devotional atmosphere. Devotees became absorbed in glorifying the Guru and reflecting upon the immeasurable grace received through Guru kripa.
The collective participation in the kirtan created an atmosphere of unity, surrender, and heartfelt devotion within the Ashram.
Vision of Jagadguru Kripalu University Inspires Devotees
An important segment of the program focused on the future vision of Jagadguru Kripalu University. Swamiji shared details about the new academic courses and upcoming developments at the university.
Listening to these plans filled devotees with pride and inspiration, as they witnessed the gradual manifestation of a world-class educational institution being established in the sacred name of Pujaneeya Gurudev Jagadguruttam Shree Kripalu Ji Maharaj under His divine āgyā.
Swamiji emotionally expressed that He has dedicated His life’s resolve to fulfilling this divine vision, and that today, that sankalp is steadily taking visible form. His words deeply touched the devotees, strengthening their faith in the mission and future of the university.
Guru Pujan and Charan Paduka Seva
The devotional spirit of the celebration continued with Guru-centred kirtans presented by the Ashram singers. Their heartfelt offerings further deepened the atmosphere of bhakti and reverence.
Swamiji then performed Guru Pujan by offering flowers at the sacred Charan Paduka. Following this, all devotees participated in Charan Paduka Pujan with deep faith, humility, and gratitude towards the Guru parampara.
The sight of devotees lovingly offering flowers and prayers reflected the core understanding that advancement in bhakti becomes possible only through the Guru’s compassion and guidance.
The observance concluded with Aarti, bringing the entire celebration to a graceful and spiritually fulfilling close.
