Under the blessings and guidance of Swami Mukundananda, Jagadguru Kripalu Yog Trust (JKYT) continues to undertake community-based healthcare initiatives dedicated to the well-being of society, especially senior citizens. Carrying forward this ongoing spirit of seva, a free comprehensive medical screening program for elderly persons was organised on 19th December 2025 at JKYog Bhakti Ashram, Banara.

The initiative reflected JKYT’s continued commitment towards holistic healthcare, compassionate service, and dignified support for the elderly through accessible medical care and community welfare programmes.

Two Major Medical Service Initiatives Organised

On this occasion, two dedicated healthcare programmes were conducted collaboratively with partnering organisations:
  • A Geriatric Health Check-Up Camp organised by Jagadguru Kripalu Yog Trust in collaboration with Jivan Jagruti Welfare Trust
  • A comprehensive medical screening initiative for senior citizens, including eye and dental check-ups, organised by Jagadguru Kripalu Chikitsalay in collaboration with Rotary E-Club of Silicon Valley – Health & Wellness
Together, these camps brought multiple healthcare services under one roof, ensuring that elderly participants received thorough medical assessments and consultations at no cost.

Comprehensive Health Services Offered Free of Cost

The camps provided a wide range of essential diagnostic and consultative services to support the overall health and well-being of senior citizens. These included:
  • Overall health check-up
  • General health screening, including blood pressure, blood sugar, pulse rate, oxygen level, and weight monitoring
  • Urology consultation with uroflow testing
  • Dental examination
  • Eye screening
  • Bone Mineral Density (BMD) testing
  • Orthopaedic consultation
  • Diabetic and general medicine consultation
  • Geriatric physiotherapy sessions with guided head-to-toe exercises
  • Distribution of spectacle frames to beneficiaries identified through eye screening
Dedicated medical professionals, healthcare teams, and volunteers ensured that every participant received personalised attention, proper evaluation, and appropriate medical guidance with compassion and care.

Healthcare Delivered with Compassion and Dignity

Beyond the medical services themselves, the initiative created a deeply comforting and positive experience for the elderly participants. Many senior citizens expressed joy and satisfaction at being able to spend meaningful time in the peaceful, natural surroundings of JKYog Bhakti Ashram, Banara.

The serene environment of the Ashram added emotional warmth to the healthcare experience, helping participants feel relaxed, cared for, and valued. The initiative reflected not merely medical support, but also emotional and social well-being through compassionate human interaction.

Adding another thoughtful dimension to the programme, fresh green leafy vegetables organically cultivated within the Ashram’s own farm were made available to participants.

This healthcare initiative has been conducted consistently over the past several years, demonstrating Jagadguru Kripalu Yog Trust’s unwavering dedication to charitable service and community welfare.

Through such programmes, JKYT continues to uphold the understanding that seva is an essential expression of bhakti. Caring for society, especially the elderly and vulnerable, becomes a natural extension of spiritual life and devotion.
