Join us for a five-day spiritual retreat at the lotus feet of Lord Jagannath in the sacred land of Shree Kshetra Puri Dham. Relive the Divine Heritage of Puri Dham, where the endless ocean waves caress the golden shores of Puri, a city that stands majestically as one of India’s four sacred Char Dham pilgrimage sites. Its skyline is dominated by the ancient Jagannath Temple, an iconic shrine where Lord Jagannath (a form of Shree Krishna) resides with His divine siblings Balabhadra and Subhadra. Every corner of this town whispers legends – from the bustling Bada Danda (Grand Road) that hosts the world-famous Ratha Yatra chariot festival, to the secluded sands that still echo with the chants of “Haribol!” and “Hare Krishna” from Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu’s sankirtan 500 years ago. Stepping into Puri is like entering a living epic; the very air reverberates with devotion, history, and the promise of spiritual transformation.

Shivir Highlights

Lectures By Swamiji
Experience the nectar of divine wisdom from the Gopi Geet, as revealed in the Bhagavat, through soul-stirring lectures by Swami Mukundananda. The Gopi Geet is the heartfelt cry of the Gopis—the ultimate expression of divine love and surrender to Bhagwan Krishna. Swamiji's discourses will unveil profound secrets, guiding you to savor the sweetness of bhakti, ignite your soul's yearning for God, and journey along the path of love that leads to the divine embrace of Shree Jagannath Swami.

Sacred Sites
Jagannath Darshan offers a profound spiritual experience for devotees who gather at the world-renowned temple in Puri, Odisha. The divine aura of Shree Jagannath Swami, along with His eternal siblings Balabhadra and Subhadra, fills the heart with awe and devotion. The grandeur of the deity, the sanctity of the temple rituals, and the deep spiritual vibrations of this ancient dham inspire an overwhelming sense of reverence. For millions of pilgrims, Jagannath Darshan is not just a visit, but a cherished encounter with the Lord of the Universe.

Parikrama
Join Swamiji in the Parikrama of the auspicious land of Puri. It is not an ordinary walk but a blissful journey through Jagannath Dham, where even the dust of the path is believed to purify the soul. These sacred paths have been blessed by the kirtans of Shree Chaitanya Mahaprabhu and the devotion of saints like Guru Nanak Dev Ji, Jayadev, Salabega, Sant Kabir, Tulsidas, and many others. Walking here with Swamiji connects you to that same current of bhakti, invoking the saints' blessings and feeling the living presence of Shree Jagannath Swami, drawing the soul closer to His infinite compassion.

Soulful Kirtans
Kirtan has always been the heart of bhakti, but in JKYog it takes on a deeper meaning. The kirtans of Shree Kripaluji Maharaj are not just devotional songs—they are meditation. Each line carries tattva gyan (divine wisdom), leela (pastimes), roop (form), and gun (virtues) of Radha Krishna. As devotees sing and visualise these divine truths, kirtan transforms into roopdhyan—a meditation that purifies the heart. When the mind dwells on the Divine, worldly impurities fade away, and the heart becomes a vessel ready to receive divinity.

Q&A Sessions
One of the most cherished aspects of the shivir is the opportunity for devotees to pose their spiritual questions and doubts directly to Swamiji. In these engaging sessions, Swamiji expertly addresses each query with profound scriptural wisdom and practical insights. This approach not only dispels confusion but also fortifies faith, eliminates obstacles on the spiritual path, and fosters a profound connection with both the inner self and the Divine. Such personal interactions become turning points in many lives, helping devotees walk their spiritual journey with greater clarity and confidence.

Cultural Programs
An inspiring evening where devotees express their talents through music, dance, drama, and more, dedicating each offering at the lotus feet of God and Guru. Every note becomes a prayer, every step a form of seva, and every word an expression of love, elevating art into a profound act of worship. And when a devotee takes time to prepare for these offerings, their mind naturally stays absorbed in the thought of God, making even the preparation itself a beautiful part of their sadhana.

Puri Darshan

Puri, known as Shree Kshetra, stands on the eastern coast of India in Odisha, where the golden sands meet the vast Bay of Bengal. This ocean is poetically referred to as the “Mahodadhi” in scriptures, and it is believed that its waves eternally bow to Shree Jagannath Swami. Puri forms one of the four Char Dham pilgrimage sites of Bharat (along with Badrinath, Dwarka, and Rameshwaram), making it a cornerstone of every Hindu’s spiritual journey. The entire kshetra is considered sacred, spanning a 32 km radius and featuring shrines, kunds, and paths that carry profound sanctity.

Puri is synonymous with the grand Ratha Yatra, the chariot festival where Shree Jagannath, Balabhadra, and Subhadra are taken out of the temple onto the Bada Danda (Grand Road) and placed on gigantic wooden chariots. This is one of the most inclusive festivals in the world, where the Lord Himself steps out to give darshan to all, regardless of their social status, religion, or background, signifying His boundless compassion. Millions gather to pull the ropes of the divine chariots, believing that even a single touch earns eternal merit.

The majestic Jagannath Temple dominates Puri’s skyline. Built in the 12th century by King Anantavarman Chodaganga Deva of the Eastern Ganga dynasty, it is not just a temple; it is the living seat of devotion. The temple is renowned for its enormous spire (Shikhara), crowned with the Neela Chakra, a wheel crafted from an alloy of eight metals (ashtadhatu), which is visible from miles away and revered as a protective emblem for the city.
Inside, Bhagwan Jagannath (a form of Shree Krishna, known as the “Lord of the Universe”) resides with His divine siblings, Balabhadra and Subhadra, along with Sudarshan. Unlike traditional stone or metal murtis, these deities are carved from neem wood (daru-brahma), imbuing them with a unique charm and mystery. Every 12 to 19 years, the deities are ceremonially replaced in the sacred Nabakalebara ritual, symbolising the eternal cycle of life, death, and rebirth.

One of the temple’s most unique features is the Mahaprasad. Cooked daily in earthen pots over a wood fire, it is offered to the Lord in the largest kitchen of any Hindu temple. It is said that while countless pots are stacked one on top of another, the food in the top pot cooks first. Sharing Mahaprasad is considered equivalent to receiving the Lord’s grace directly, breaking all barriers of caste, creed, and social status.
