Jagadguru Kripalu University (JKU) is thrilled to announce the successful completion of the Livelihood and Enterprise Development Program (LEDP) focused on Solar Food Processing, funded by NABARD. This initiative is transforming the lives of rural women in Odisha, empowering them with valuable skills to uplift their families and achieve financial independence.
A heartwarming certificate distribution ceremony on 11th January 2025 marked the program's culmination, with Swami Mukundananda presenting certificates to participating women. These certificates represent women's dedication to learning and symbolise a new chapter in their journey toward economic empowerment.
Free Skill Development for Rural Women: Making a Difference
This initiative stands out because the entire training program is free of cost, ensuring accessibility to women in rural areas who often face barriers to education and skill development. Through this program, hundreds of women are trained regularly in batches, enabling them to acquire new skills contributing to their personal growth and family welfare.
In recent training batches, women have learned to create Hawai chappals from scratch, while earlier workshops focused on tailoring skills. These hands-on programs equip women with practical skills that open the door to entrepreneurial ventures, allowing them to earn an income and contribute significantly to their households.

The skills learned through these programs go beyond basic training. With certificates in hand, these women can now approach banks to secure loans and establish their own businesses.
